How might we empower students to take the driver’s seat of their career navigation?
PaperHat is a web-based learning platform that empowers students from diverse backgrounds to develop the skills and self-efficacy to navigate career decisions. Students learn the proactive approach and process of life experimenting to help them craft their meaningful career path.
What did I do?
In collaboration with the Stanford Life Design lab, my project partner and I designed from scratch the web application and a curriculum for life experimenting. I interviewed 10+ school guidance counselors and 20+ high school and college students from different backgrounds. Given my product design background, I led the rapid prototyping process, creating and testing paper to high-fidelity digital prototypes with students we went out and enlisted. We worked with an outsourced software development team to bring the design to life. We're currently piloting PaperHat with our partner organizations.
